    Field Trip to Singapore

    Photographs by Shantesh Kelvekar As part of BMSCE, Shantesh Kelvekar accompanied students for a field trip to Singapore. During the trip, students interacted with students, young professionals, offices and academicians in the field of architecture. The students visited offices of WOHA and AECOM. They also visited NUS-Singapore and NTU, Singapore. Apart from the visits, students visited Gardens by the Bay, Interlace by Ole Scheeren and OMA, Learning Hub at NTU by Thomas Heathe

    Water & Society - ISOLA + BMSCE student's workshop engagement

    Students of BMSCE in collaboration with Indian Society of Landscape Architects came together to work together between October, 2015 and January, 2016. BMSCE facilitated the initiative of ISOLA. Dealing with the issue of Water & Society, the students addressed the present condition of Vrishabhavati River in Bangalore. Shantesh Kelvekar, then as faculty of history and design at BMSCE, assisted and mentored the students along with Mohan Rao, Rahul Paul, Aditi and Sachin U. Preet

    1/65 comprised of works of 65 students interpreting architects, artists and designers. Each student interpreted their inspiration's works into a 15X15X15 cm sculptures. Collectively 65 works came together to form a single installation titles 1/65. Shantesh Kelvekar along with Bhagyalaxmi was involved with the students at third year level as part of their history studio. A book was also published under the exhibition's title.     Architecture Dialect[ic]

    Architecture Dialect[ic] was conducted as part of the History of Architecture Studio, where students of third year architecture from BMSCE engaged in understanding and studying international practices of the lat 20th Century and 21st Century. The work of the students was published as a book and also exhibited in September, 2014.
