Residence

Bagalkot

5400 sqft.

Ongoing

Located in New Bagalkot Town designed by Charles Correa, this residence adheres to the guidelines established by Correa. Addressing to the climatic conditions of a composite warm climate, the house becomes an expression of openness. The house comprises of two wings i.e. common areas and personal spaces identified as North and South Blocks respectively..

The East and West facades prevent direct sunlight by introduction of trees and overhangs. The South facade is a blank wall, behind which are all service related spaces. The North therefore naturally brings most light. The Central core between two the North and South wing rises vertically - through which interior warm air exits out from the vents.
