Competition
The designed house is for a golf enthusiast, with a family of seven - a middle aged couple, one elderly parent of the couple, three kids - with one physically challenged and a dog.
The brief demanded an elaborate set of requirements, that could be perceived into three sets broadly. At the entrance level from the driveway is the owner's private office, the intermediate level is for family gathering, which is above the private office, but is accessible as ground from the pool area, and the top floor accommodates the bedrooms and lounge. The landscape mounds rise to the bedroom level to provide a direct access to the ground - thereby making all floors connected to the ground. Our proposal identifies a common denominator of function between the three floors that acts as a moving plate that operates hydraulically. The idea is a visual as well as a physical with the context.
