The bench was designed as part of the Art Bienalle in Hong Kong for 2013. This modern day urban furniture was placed in several locations in Kowloon - to be situated in streets, parks, water front, old industrial areas etc.

The bench, by its design, accommodates several seating positions for different age groups. It also is incorporated with a wi-fi connection, a plug point, bicycle park, and other such tiny amenities which encourage the present urban youth get outside. There is also an emblem  of Kowloon embossed in the bench, which signifies the bench’s location and symbolises patriotism.
