India

Competition

The NHAI proposed to develop Solar Powered Toll Plazas on national highways across the country in order to reduce their carbon footprint. It had been decided to hold a National Level Design Competition so that the best design/s may be adopted for creating a template.

Although India is so diverse, the commonality is that it is extremely vibrant - culturally and socially. As the structure proposed will be spread across the country; reflecting the vibrancy in design by being neutral to all the cultures, religions or societies is of great importance. A reflection that the highways belong to all.

Today, as a nation each and every part of the country is thriving towards progress. Our response is to reflect that in the designed structure that will be consistent across the length and breadth of India.
